Industrial Vibration Sensor with 4–20 mA Output

An industrial vibration sensor tells you how healthy a rotating machine is. Voxintech supplies these sensors across India for condition monitoring of motors, pumps, fans, compressors, gearboxes and crushers. The sensor mounts directly on the machine and sends a 4–20 mA signal proportional to vibration velocity to your PLC, DCS or SCADA – so you can spot unbalance, misalignment and bearing wear early and avoid unplanned breakdowns.
- Measuring range: up to 100 mm/s vibration velocity (VT25, VT50 and VT100 series)
- Frequency range: 3 Hz to 1000 Hz
- Output: 4–20 mA, with optional temperature output (10 mV/°C)
- Supply: 10–30 V DC, M12 connector
- Housing: AISI 316L stainless steel, IP67
- Operating temperature: −55 °C to +120 °C
- French-made sensors, stocked and supported in India by Voxintech, Delhi NCR

In the mining and quarrying industry, pumps and crushers are monitored by Voxintech Vibration & velocity Sensors. In the food and beverage industry our accelerometers
monitor mixers, centrifuges, ovens, fans and conveyors, while in the cement sector our vibration sensors and 4-20mA vibration transmitters (LPS) are used in critical condition monitoring systems on kilns, crushers and mills.
Tell us the machine (motor kW / pump / fan), speed and mounting, and we will recommend the right sensor.

Motor Vibration Sensor for Electric Motors, Pumps and Fans
The most common use is monitoring electric motors and the pumps, fans and blowers they drive. A motor vibration sensor is mounted on the bearing housing – drive end first, then non-drive end on critical machines – and gives a continuous 4–20 mA signal that rises as bearings wear, coupling alignment drifts or the rotor goes out of balance. Typical installations include:
- LT and HT induction motors in process plants
- Centrifugal and screw pumps, including borewell and water-supply pumps
- Cooling-tower fans, ID/FD fans and blowers
- Compressors, gearboxes and crushers in cement and mining plants
Alarm limits are usually set from the machine’s own normal running level, or with reference to vibration severity standards such as ISO 10816 / ISO 20816.
Complete Vibration Monitoring System
A simple industrial vibration monitoring system needs only three parts: the vibration sensor on the machine, a display or PLC input in the panel, and an alarm. Connect the sensor’s 4–20 mA output to a VT 406D process indicator to show the live value with high/high-high alarms next to the machine, or wire it straight into your PLC or SCADA for trending across the whole plant. No separate data-collector or software subscription is needed.
Vibration Sensor Supplier in India
Voxintech supplies French-made industrial vibration sensors, stocked and supported in India from Delhi NCR, with delivery to all states. We help you choose the right model and mounting, and support you during commissioning.
Why Monitor Machine Vibration?
Most rotating-machine failures – worn bearings, loose foundations, unbalance and misalignment – show up as rising vibration weeks before the machine stops. A permanently mounted 4–20 mA vibration sensor lets your PLC trend the vibration level, raise an alarm at a set limit and plan maintenance instead of reacting to breakdowns. This approach is known as condition monitoring.
Applications
- Electric motors, pumps, blowers and cooling-tower fans
- Compressors and gearboxes
- CNC machine spindles, generators and DG sets
- Crushers, screens and conveyors in mining and cement plants
- Mixers, centrifuges and ovens in food and pharma plants
- Petroleum and chemical plants and paper and pulp mills
How to Choose an Industrial Vibration Sensor
- Measuring range: choose a range above the alarm level for your machine class.
- Temperature output: choose a model with temperature output if you also want to monitor bearing temperature.
- Mounting: mount the sensor rigidly on the bearing housing, as close to the bearing as possible.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a 4–20 mA sensor measure?
It measures vibration velocity (mm/s RMS) and converts it to a 4–20 mA current signal that any PLC or indicator can read.
Can I connect it directly to a PLC?
Yes. Connect the 4–20 mA output to a PLC analog input, supply 10–30 V DC, and set an alarm or trip level in the PLC.
Is it suitable for outdoor and hot locations?
Yes. The sensors have an IP67 stainless steel housing and operate from −55 °C to +120 °C.
How do I monitor vibration on an electric motor?
Mount the industrial vibration sensor on the motor bearing housing (drive end first), in the radial direction, using the threaded stud. Connect the 4–20 mA output to your PLC or indicator, record the normal running level for a few days, then set a warning and a trip limit above it. The same method works for pumps, fans, blowers and gearboxes.
Do you supply across India?
Yes. We supply from Delhi NCR to plants across India, including Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Gurgaon and Delhi. Tell us your machine and preferred range and we will recommend the right model.
